Gamakatsu’s Super G-Line Neo is a sensitive line with an extreme shock absorber build-in to the monofilament. It combines the sensitivity of Fluorocarbon with the flexibility of conventional nylon lines. You clearly feel the difference! Especially lower tension and fast explosive pulls are absorbed easily. Only when the tension builds up the Super G-Line Neo starts to give. A superb line for casting, for fine bite registration and for secure hook sets. This monofilament is manufactured from a hybrid mix of copolymer and a number of unique raw materials. This enhances the surface but certainly also the breaking strength, the abrasion resistance and the shock-absorption. This ultra-strong line is virtually memory-free which eliminates coiling and twisting of the line. As with all Gamakatsu monofilaments also this ‘Neo’ line is perfectly round as a result of a perfectly extrusion. It goes without saying that Super G-line Neo features UV-Cut to protect against harmful UV-radiance. Enhanced durability and lifetime is the result.
Gamakatsu® started producing fish hooks in 1955. At that time, they were the smallest hook manufacturer in Japan and all of their hooks were made by hand. In 1963 they introduced a new automated heating facility which catapulted them to the forefront of the Japanese market. In 1974, they introduced fully automated hook making machines and found it necessary to build a second factory in order to meet the demand they had created. - See more at: http://www.gamakatsu.com/about.html#sthash.c32MnteN.dpuf
