How To Fish
The DT`s philosophy is to create a lure targeting fish at specific depths. The design characteristics of each lure feature the best action, preferred by seasoned pros, to match the mood of fish at those predetermined depths.
When making your first cast with the DT at the point of entry initiate the retrieve with a slow steady wind to dig the DT down to its maximum depth faster. Unlike other crankbaits where you need to burn the retrieve to achieve maximum depth, the DT is designed to steadily dive with a slow retrieve. Once the DT reaches its predetermined depth (DT 10 dives to 10 feet, or approximately 3 meters, DT14 to 14 feet or 4,2 meters DT16 dives to 16 feet or approximately 5 meters) you may vary your speed or use a stop and go method to discover the best action that triggers fish to strike.
Another built-in feature to the DT based on normal fishing situations and the moods of fish at various depths, you will find the DTs that dive to a deeper depth have tighter, yet lively action.

There’s a reason more fishermen around the world put their faith in the original balsa lure from Finland. Beginning in 1936, the successes of the Original Floater, Magnum and the Shad Rap were followed by other Rapala products that found their way into tackle boxes of anglers around the world. Lures like the Husky Jerk, Fat Rap, Countdown and the new innovative lures like the X-Rap, DT series and the Twitchin’ Rap. It is a legacy of unwavering quality that can be seen in every lure, every fillet knife, every pro-designed tool and every accessory that we make.
