The Speedmaster Salmon is a range of rods specifically designed for Scandinavian Salmon angler who fishes with sinkers and flies or large salmon spinners or spoons. Designed without compromise, the moderately fast action of the Speedmaster is perfect for keeping in direct control with the sinker when guiding it down the river.
For many anglers Salmon fishing in the ultimate challenge and one of the most effective methods, especially in the powerful rivers of Scandinavia, is using a sinker and fly, or perhaps a large salmon spinner. If this is the type of fishing that excites you then the stunning Speedmaster Salmon is the rod for you. Pick one up and you’ll immediate appreciate the responsiveness of the technology-packed blank and it’s organically grip sections, which you can perfectly position in your hands, and under your arm. This rod enables you precisely manoeuvre your sinker or lure and create the perfect presentation for the salmon. And when you hook into a fish, the rod takes on a remarkable fighting curve that automatically compensates for aggressive runs, turns and leaps associated with fighting salmon.
The combination of power and responsiveness of the Speedmaster Salmon is generated by the use of High Modulus Carbon, combined with HPC and Nanosheet technology. This high-end carbon combination is further enhanced with Diaflash in the lower part of the blank, which increases stiffness and contributes to the excellent feedback of the rod. To maximise the performance of the blank Fuji Alconite K-type guides have been chosen. These are corrosion resistant, lightweight and reduce friction. On both the spinning and casting models an ergonomic Fuji VSS reel seat offers comfort and security in equal measures. The Speedmaster Salmon is available in casting models for use with multipliers and overhead reels, and spinning options for use with spinning reels.
